Trial Information

Victim impact statements will be submitted to the District Attorney on 8/26 so that so she can submit to the judge on the 28th.

Also, as a reminder this hearing (a second pre-trial hearing) will determine if Sydnie changes her plea or keeps her current plea.

The judge will give her team an idea on where she stands on sentencing and THAT will determine Syndie's next steps.

There are two ways (essentially) this can go:

1. She keeps her plea and they set a TRIAL date, sentencing will be set after trial

2. She changes her plea and the judge will set a SENTENCING date, negating the need for a trial.

Reminder that the judge CAN immediately issue sentencing if she changes her plea to "guilty as charged" but she is aware that we want to be there for sentencing so she will try and schedule this as far out as possible to give everyone time to make arrangements should we still wish to travel for this.

We do not know what time the case is being called so Friday is going to be heavy on "standby" for news updates.

Coincidentally, Dave already had a job booked for New Orleans for the same week. He will take time away from the job to attend the hearing.

Dave will be wearing his "We Dance for Billy” T-shirt.
